Wagnalls Community Theater
[0:23]The Wagnalls Community Theater in Lithopolis, Ohio, is designed to give children
and adults an opportunity to learn all aspects of working in live theater while
providing entertaining performances for children and adults throughout the community.
In partnership with the Wagnalls Memorial, the theater holds practices and performances
in the stunning Wagnalls Auditorium.
The auditorium, originally seating over 420 people, now seats approximately
300 due to the expansion of the stage.
On the walls are a collection of photographs and letters that the famous individuals
of the day sent to their friend Mabel.
The only one who remains widely recognized today is Harry Houdini.
Lift the wooden seats and see a special rack designed to store top hats.
A projection booth is in the rear of the room, and many older residents remember
coming for 10-cent movies.
Wagnall's Community Theater has been working hard for months to bring a unique
version of The House at Pooh Corner to our stage, where performers have incorporated
puppetry and and their characterizations.

The House at Pooh Corner Show
[1:24]Performances run from April 19th through 21st and April 26th through 28th, 2024.
In this delightful adaption by Betty Knapp from the work by A.A.
Milne, Christopher Robin has decided to run away with his friends Pooh,
Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, and the rest.
They'll probably go to the North Pole or the South Pole, for there is a dark,
mysterious threat that he is to be sent away to education.
Nobody knows exactly what or where that is, and if he's sent to such a distant
place, what would his friends do without him?
As the situation becomes clearer, Christopher Robin isn't quite so sure that
running away is the answer.
The approximate running time is 145 minutes, plus intermission.
